The Team Handball Association South Australia (THASA) was founded in 1987,. As an affiliated club of the Australian Handball Federation (AHF), THASA aims to create awareness about team handball, an exciting and fast paced team sport, in South Australia.
THASA is supported by a dedicated team of volunteers who, throughout the year, have increased the level of interaction with local schools and the general community. THASA volunteers held a number of handball workshops and ‘Come and Try Sessions’ during the year, which received very positive feedback from all participants.
Whilst team handball is one of the largest Olympic sports with extremely high participant numbers around the world, it is still in its infancy in South Australia. THASA is determined to place South Australia at the forefront of this competition. We are therefore planning to increase our outreach activities and encourage everyone to come and join us to share our enjoyment in this exhilarating sport.
